Have any of you heard of "兀" (pronounce "pi")?
It's a movie mainly talks about a mathematician who tries to decode the numerical pattern beneath the ultimate system of ordered chaos ---- the stock market.
There is also a book called "兀", a math-related book as well. Cool book!! Go read it!! (It's not the original from the motion picture thou.)

Friday night, crazy night.
Yang and I had our biochem mid-term early this morning (or yesterday, rather), and so happy that we're done for the biochem nightmaire. And 2 things happened today........
1st, Jeff (the other Jeff, but I didn't know him at all.) waited me outside the lecture hall. He thinks I look familiar (Nonsense! coz I'm with TOSA.....), and he just fell into talk with me. From the questions he asked me, I know he is a 痞子in a wink.
Here is what he said to me this morning:
Hi, what's your name?
How do you think the test?
FUCK!! This is my 2nd time of taking this course, and it is FUCKING HARD STILL!!!
I was like...OK....(Is that how you express yourself in front of a just-met-person?)
2nd, I guess it's because Yang was too panic before we took the biochem mid-term that she lose track of her stuff besides notes. SHE LOST HER WALLET TODAY!!! She has everyhitng in there: credit cards, debit card, drivers' license, and srudent ID. So I basically spent like whole afternoon looking all over the Medical Center and searching the wallet with her. She looks pretty upset. (I would be really freaked out if I were her.) She cancelled all her cards today, so technically she has no $$$ now. I bought her dinner tonight, and hopefully she can kick her bad luck away.
I think she is REALLY upset today, coz as being a never-drink-beer person, she asked me and Tim to go drink with her. As a result, we drank. After we had a mug of beer which containts 10% alcohol or even lower, Tim looked fine, and so did Yang. It was ME that looked DRUNK. My cheeks were so FLUSHED coz of the stupid beer, and I felt dizzy kinda. I've never tried any of drinks which contains alcohol higher than 5%, and tonight was my new record.
Maybe I can try how may mugs of BEER can make me a hangover next time......we'll see....

那個Wei, my new lab instructor, 實在是超乎想像的神奇.....
He always throw me "不足以成為問題的問題", 害我回答得有一點retarded....
He asked, "隨便" 怎麼說....要知道, 美國人是沒有這種"隨便"的concept的....害我還要想幾個dialogue跟他解釋一番, 什麼"It's up to you."啦, "Either way is fine."啦, 反正我能想到的就全搬出來了, 就是搞到最後超像英語教學那樣.
還有更怪的, 他問"on sale"是不是就真的是只有那幾天而已呀? God, how whould I know?? Go check yourself!!
有時候想想, 也許真的不能怪他.....可是"到哪裡去買衣服"就真的是個怪問題了吧!? 你是"生活白痴"嗎??

I looked like a Smurf today....
I wore my blue Old Navy fleece, blue Old Navy shirt, blue jeans, blue skateboard shoes, and a borrowed blue Old Navy bag.
Kinda silly, I know. But I feel that I'm kinda proud of myself in a way.....don't ask me why....
When I was kinda smug about it, sth shocking happened....
"Isn't that someone I know dressed like a Christmas tree down the hallway??" God, he takes over the spotlight on me....
I looked at him, and then I realized that I was totally defeated. He wore green Old Navy jacket, green Gap (I guess) khaki pants, grey skateboard shoes, and a green Old Navy bag.
We had equal strength so far, but when you "look up" a bit, then he won.
HIS HAIR IS GREEN!!!
He is 100% a Christmas tree......purely....(just lovely...)
I told him that I'll definitely put some ornaments on him when Christams hits.

I accidentally cut my index finger over the weekend, so stupid....
Ok, but the thing is that, I didn't really feel a thing. I'm a freak, I know. I was kinda amazed when my fresh red blood oozed out from the deep wound.....I was so touched by the function of hemoglobin...God, what am I talking about???
It gets better now, at least the cut doesn't look as deep as it was. No bleeding of course.

I don't think I can take it anymore.....
My new lab instructor just arrived yesterday, and he's a Chinese. I don't even know his name. He's really nice and friendly, but the thing is that, HIS ENGLISH SUCKS!!!!!
He told me that he studied all those chemical compounds in Chinese which obviously is not what I am familiar with since I learn those in English. Besides, he can't even communicate with my instructor, and I'll have to be a interpreter every single time........
I'm glad that I can help in any way, but hey~~ I'm there for the research, not for being your stupid interpreter!!!
I stayed in the lab for an extra hour today just because he had questions to ask Thomas, and I'm the only one there who is not so busy and willing to help. (And then I realize how difficult it is to switch back and forth between English and Chinese, especially 大陸的中文...)

Watched the Brady Bunch last night!!
Not so many people know what I'm referring to, but it's one of my favorite TV series!!
3 boys and 3 girls live with their parents + one housekeeper, Alice. 9 people share one bathroom only. They are a weird family, but sweet. You guys should watch this someday, it's worth it!!
Jeff is not responding us again. We suppose to go out and having Dim-Sum for lunch today, but he just answered neither the door nor the call. Is he dead?

11:30am undergrad research at Bagley
1:30pm work at Hall Health
2:30pm TOSA office hour at HUB
4:30pm TOSA meeting at HUB
I didn't get a chance to have my breakfast and lunch. I was rushing between classes, working and meeting. Man~~~
Ich bin mude.(I'm tired.)
Just went back from Northgate Mall and got rugs for our bathroom + drawers for my desk. Changed light bulbs in our apartment.
I'm gonna take a hot shower + watch some TV, and enjoy the rest of my Friday night.
I'll get up quite early tomorrow morning coz Mt. Rainier Trip will be tomorrow, and I'll need to help them out even though I'm not going. I still have to go to BookStore for the Secretary invitations + return my German books thou.

Things are getting weird between us and Jeff. He usually tells Yang everything, but now he talks only to Tim. He didn't even want to go the trip planned by our association, but rather go to the Double-Ten parade thing. Tim will have to go with him of course, even though he wants to go to the trip..........
Dunno what's wrong with Jeff, coz he behaves really really weird lately. He might reaches the highest level of autism coz he always keeps his door shut.
Anyway, things might be better tomorrow (hopefully), and it'll be a pity if we cannot hangout together again.
Jeff is a bomb. He will probably blow away my wonderful memories about my buddies.

You know what, I went to bed at 9:00pm last night, and had a nice sleep 'til 8:30am this morning. Great, huh? I was tired like a turtle or a dog....sth like that yesterday. And today, I change my German to "audit" right after school. I guess I just can't take the class for its workload.

MY BACK ACHES SO MUCH!!! I have to carry at least 6 books everyday to school coz of my Japanese and German classes: textbooks, workbooks, plus lab manuals. God!! I'm afraid of that one day my bag will break while I'm walking at the Quad......
So tired today. It's only 8:00pm now, but I actualy feel like it's 11:00pm now coz I'm so in the sleeping mode right now....
Just finished my Japanese listening assignment, I'm so amazed that I can memorize those words so well and write them out right after listening to the tape!!!

I met the STUPIDEST person in the whole wide world when having my lunch with Tim today. We ran into each other right after our German classes (yes, we're both taking German except that his is 200 level, I'm in 100 level and thinking about dropping...), and headed to HUB for our lunch. The meals cost $10.12 in total, then I gave the cashier $11.00. He looked confused somehow, and asked me for one more dollar. Tim and I were chatting while waiting for the burgers, and didn't pay attention to what he asked. Then, just as one could imagine, he asked again. It's us that looked confused now. Didn't I give you $11.00?? And didn't the meals cost $10.12?? The cashier thought about it for like 3 minutes in front of the bench, and Tim and I were like fainted already. HEY!! I believe it's SIMPLE MATH that we're talking about here!!! God!! Never met someone who is so retarded..........................

Interesting day~~
I have to say that my handwriting of Japanese is incredibly nice!! :)
I learned 25 hiragana characters today in lecture, and man~~ that was interesting!! I've never imagined that I can really memorize all those worm-like words......
And also, German was fun!! However, I might will have to drop it coz my workload is like beyond my ability this quarter: biochem, Japanese, biochem research / writing, and work. I can go to lectures alright, but it takes time to study ne!! God, what should I do? I really want to learn German ne!! I may blog in German someday~~~
