I'm so not motivated now. Not in the mood for study.....or I should say...so not in the mood doing anything actually. Is that some kind of "final syndrome" or "final-phobia"??? I dunno. Not energetic at all...not at all.....not at all.....

My o-chem lab final presentation went perfectly well today. Basically just went thru the procedures how I figured out what my unknown compound was, and explain IR spectra a bit, which kinda easy for my compound----2-octanol; just a strong O-H stretch that indicates an alcohol, and bunch of alkane C-H stretch and bending absorptions. Our TA is really easy on us, hope I can get a not-so-bad grade.

My feeling is now beyond description. I can't help keep check the latest update about the news, and all I see is nothing but the same news over and over again. No further info is on, which is a bad sign coz that means no more people has been found so far. I'm truly and deeply touched by those across the Sound who voluntarily join the rescue troop regradless of our gap of political belief. No boundaries.

OMG!!! Me and my friend went CRAZY SHOPPING today!! (Oh well, I'm the one who's crazy...) I spent my one-week-salary at Gap + Old Navy within 2 hours, cheerful. Bought a lot of stuff and some gifts for friends in Taiwan. I'M SUCH A CRAZY SHOPPER!!!!

Couldn't sleep last night. The disaster popped into my mind once I tried to close my eyes and sleep. So that I went to bed like 5:00am this early morning after watching my VCD while the sky turning light and birds getting to sing.

Got back from Vancouver last night. Did almost nothing productive today. Spent like whole day reading on-lind news regarding the huge tragedy----China Airlines' disaster. Heavy. Friends tried hard persuading me not to fly with China Airlines as soon as they heard the news; however, I have confidence in China Airlines that it's not their fault. Can't really blame anyone. And I'll fly with them in summer back to Taiwan as I planned. (side topic: To me, Eva Airlines is like the worst ever due to the ill services.) Bless all the people die in the disaster, and bless all the families. Go, China Airlines!!!!

不行不行,我的日記快要變成"週記"啦...不久後就會變成"月刊"...然後是"年鑑"...再過不久就變成"回憶錄"了.(真是可預見的未來呀~~) 我要keep up the work才行!! The weekend was SO AWESOME!!! I went to see Spider-Man Friday night, I think it's pretty cool. Never read the comics thou. And you know what, one of my friends' name is in the filming crew, and he brags about it a lot.(of course he's not one of the crew.) Saturday was a total blast!! Went to our Annual U-District StreetFair, and I had a thing like 糖葫蘆kinda food, which is actually strawberries coated with chocolate. I had one with white chocolate coated all over, that's SO GOOD!!!!! Afterwards, I helped set up out Annual Nightmarket. It's our Taiwanese Heritage Week, so we have so many activities going around here. I had so much fun at the nightmarket, seeing all those old friends and tasting great food. Photo expo is a highlight. Great pics never seen in Taiwan. Actually, I've never known that Taiwan is that beautiful after I see those pics. I LOVE TAIWAN!!!

Bunch of us went to Chinatown this afternoon looking for sponsorship. I wasn't sure if I'm a PR or an AC by the time we went there, but I'm now pretty sure that I'm a PR coz it seems like treasurer and I did 75% of the funding work today. And it's kinda exciting to know that people actually understand my dialects!! 好感動^_^!! I don't really like "ask-people-for-money" kinda stuff, but the trip today makes me feel that I'm sort of like making friends with them. And the trip also confirms my concept that "language opens a window for you; the more, the better". I'll try to learn Japanese and German in the next 2 years!!! Go, Mimi!!

LARYNGITIS it is!!! (I strongly beieve so.....) My throat hurts SO MUCH today, and I have felt dizzy all day......Is that a cold or sth like that? I suppose it is. Anyways, I actually seriously think about my schedule 'til graduation with my "remaining brain" left from dizziness, and I struggle a lot coz I think I'm like too greedy for language classes + Earth sciences classes. (Even thou I consider myself as having some gift for language kinda stuff, such as how I learn my dialects. ^_^) I might want to drop one of my current classes coz I've been EXTREMELY BUSY this quarter and couldn't possibly "ace" all classes. Me in deep thought now............

Didn't do much over the weekend~~~ good to relax a bit. I went out for like whole day for enjoying the great sunshine today. Feels so good to study under the beautiful sunshine (but bad for eyes for sure), and finished a whole chapter of o-chem!! Went for bubble tea, and had a fun chat with my friends. Nice weekend!! And the once-a-year University Street Fair is coming up next weekend!! Yay!!

這幾天雖然沒有要考試,可是我覺得我還是累得跟像被車碾過一樣.....TOSA的BBQ活動, 搬家的事,未來的計畫,全都"jelly"在我腦子裡,一團混亂.......不過,我終於決定,我要跟一個很nice的教授作實驗, which will take me like another 3 quarters in undergrad. 他很酷喔~~ 他是中日混血,來自印尼...英文有點糟(日本人的發音嘛~~),然後最酷的是,我要跟的project是要跟德國合作,研究一種很特別的bacteria,我們要找出一種物質的biosynthesis pathway,然後map down the specific gene that codes for the enzyme formation that directs the pathway. 這種bacteria實在很特別,特別到我的指導教授都沒見過...他也要跟我們一起研究研究.......It's gonna be really cool~~~~~ Anyways,既然都要多待一年,那我就決定拿Japanese as my 2nd minor啦~~~
