The way we grade our lab report is like CRAZY!!
There is a set protocol for how we grade it, but it seems to me like we cannot have any experimental error at all.
So, the kids are burning Mg, and the product will be MgO. The theoretical % Mg in MgO is 60.31%, if the data give them 60.81%, they got *zero* point for that part.
Hey, man~~ They are NOT doing any analytical chem here, ok? And it's their first lab in their college life. Things can go wrong, and you only allow +/-0.2g for full points?
I would difinetly kill you if I were the student........................
