I skipped my German class today. One is that I need to make keys for my friends, and the other thing is that I can steal some time to visit our Henry Art Gallery which I've been thinking about for a month. I didn't get a chance to see the one I wanted to (Photographic Impulse), but I saw another one,Mexico Ahora, instead.
I'm so so so impressed by the "rice paper shirt" (I made up the name...). It's a T-shirt made by rice paper of course, but the "thread" that used to sew the whole thing is HAIR!! And the pattern is dyed with BLOOD!!! EERIE!!!
And there was another media art kind of exhibition on at the same time, and the DVD film called "Corridor" is pretty neat. I stared at the TV screen for like 3 minutes, and then I realized that it just kept going and going with the same frame.....I was like a fool standing in front of TV expecting something pops out. I guess that's the fascinating part of this piece, it draws your attention by human blind side ---- snare of thinking model.
Anyway, a 30-min visit is too short for me, but I'm fully content. It's so sad that my stupid lab thing takes up most of my time this year, and I cannot really do that I want.......Hopefully it'll all be better next year. (BTW, my lab will end this Spring....)
God.....haven't started my biochem reading yet....and I want to finish the book that I told you about too.....
